In the context of social change and economic pressure, the existence of resin repong is the main source of livelihood that supports the economic resilience of households and regions. However, a comprehensive understanding of the role of resin repong as a local wisdom in increasing community income still requires a synthesis study of various previous research results. Therefore, this study aims to thoroughly examine the role of resin repong as a local wisdom in increasing the income of the West Coast community through a literature review approach. The research method used is literature review by analyzing six relevant scientific journals using content analysis techniques and narrative synthesis. The results of the study show that resin repong has been proven to make a significant contribution to increasing community income, strengthening social welfare, and maintaining the sustainability of resources through the application of traditional and cultural values. In addition, technical factors of harvesting and production quality also determine the income level of resin farmers, while the main challenge lies in weak farmer institutions and limited market access. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that strengthening the management of resins based on local wisdom, supported by increasing technical capacity and strengthening economic institutions, is a key strategy in increasing the income and welfare of the West Coast community in a sustainable manner.
Afrizal Kunaipi, Hari Kaskoyo, Indra Gumay Febryano, Bainah Sari Dewi Copyright (c) 2026 Afrizal Kunaipi, Hari Kaskoyo, Indra Gumay Febryano, Bainah Sari Dewi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://josder.pasca.unila.ac.id/index.php/josder/article/view/37 Thu, 16 Jul 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Pengelolaan Usahatani Alpukat Sistem Monokultur dan Agroforestri di Desa Girimulyo Kabupaten Lampung Timur https://josder.pasca.unila.ac.id/index.php/josder/article/view/38
Girimulyo Village is located in a protected forest area used by the community for avocado farming through agroforestry and monoculture systems, requiring land management aligned with conservation and sustainability principles. This study aims to analyze the management of avocado farming using agroforestry and monoculture systems in protected forest areas. The study was conducted in September-October 2025 in Girimulyo Village, East Lampung Regency. Data analysis used descriptive methods with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation of avocado farmers. The results showed that avocado farming management in both systems was similar at the nursery and planting stages, including the use of selected avocado seedlings and the arrangement of planting distances and times according to land conditions, but differed in land preparation, maintenance, and harvesting. Management using the agroforestry system tends to preserve natural vegetation, apply adaptive maintenance, and harvest in stages, while the monoculture system applies total land clearing, uniform maintenance, and simultaneous harvesting. The avocado agroforestry system is more sustainable than monoculture in protected forest areas because it maintains vegetation, ecological functions, and environmental balance.
Vicky Puja Wahanawati, Hari Kaskoyo, Rommy Qurniati, Samsul Bakri Copyright (c) 2026 Vicky Puja Wahanawati, Hari Kaskoyo, Rommy Qurniati, Samsul Bakri https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://josder.pasca.unila.ac.id/index.php/josder/article/view/38 Thu, 16 Jul 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Persepsi Masyarakat Terhadap Penerapan Animal Welfare dalam Kegiatan Wisata di Taman Nasional Way Kambas https://josder.pasca.unila.ac.id/index.php/josder/article/view/40
This study aims to analyze public perceptions of the implementation of animal welfare in tourism activities in Way Kambas National Park (TNWK), particularly at the Elephant Training Center and the buffer zone village. The study was conducted in September-October 2025 using a quantitative approach through the distribution of a closed-ended questionnaire based on a Likert scale to 65 respondents selected purposively. The research instruments included indicators of tourism activities, social impacts, and economic impacts that referred to animal welfare principles. The data were analyzed descriptively to identify categories of public perception. The results showed that public perception of animal welfare implementation ranged from neutral to positive, with an average variable score of 61-65%. The community assessed that educational tourism activities at the Elephant Training Center reflected animal-friendly practices and provided socioeconomic benefits to the surrounding community, although understanding of animal welfare still needed to be improved. These findings indicate that the implementation of animal welfare has reached the initial stage of social acceptance, which has the potential to be strengthened through enhanced education, inclusive management, and continuous community involvement to support the sustainability of conservation tourism in TNWK.
Dhea ayu lestari, Hari Kaskoyo, Dian Iswandaru, Sugeng Prayitno Harianto Copyright (c) 2026 Dhea ayu lestari, Hari Kaskoyo, Dian Iswandaru, Sugeng Prayitno Harianto https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://josder.pasca.unila.ac.id/index.php/josder/article/view/40 Thu, 16 Jul 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Skema Perhutanan Sosial: Analisis Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Tingkat Pendapatan Kelompok Tani Hutan KTH Rimbe Pasmah di KPH Gedong Wani Provinsi Lampung https://josder.pasca.unila.ac.id/index.php/josder/article/view/43
The government's program through the Minister of Environment and Forestry has issued a new program as an economy of equity, to help alleviate poverty and unemployment through Social Forestry (PS). This Social Forestry is given to the community to manage forest resources legally to help protect natural resources as well as a reference in increasing income, especially in the Rimbe Forest Farmers Group. The diversity of each respondent's income shows that there are factors that affect it directly or indirectly. This study aims to find out what factors affect respondents' income. Quantitative descriptive approach with SPPS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) testing. Data collection through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, documentation studies, and literature studies was then analyzed using multiple linear regression, which was used to determine the influence of independent variables on bound variables where the value of y = income of the farmer group and factor x (respondent age, education level, main occupation, land area, and number of plant types). The test was carried out by the f test (Analysis of variance) and the t test (linear regression test). The test is carried out with SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) software so that the data loaded will show which variables will have an effect with a sig value of <0.05 declared to be influential and >0.05 meaning that the independent variables do not affect the dependent variables together. The results showed that the most influential factor on income from Social Forestry in Rimbe Forest Farmers Group was the area of cultivated land, with a value of P value = 0.027 which shows that the larger the farmer's cultivated land, the greater the amount of production from the harvest. The amount of production produced will get higher income.
Seni Rahayu, Hari Kaskoyo, Slamet Budi Yuwono, Dwi Maylinda Copyright (c) 2026 Seni Rahayu, Hari Kaskoyo, Slamet Budi Yuwono, Dwi Maylinda https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://josder.pasca.unila.ac.id/index.php/josder/article/view/43 Thu, 16 Jul 2026 00:00:00 +0000 I Innovative Utilization of Defevtive Coffee Beans as a Base Ingredient for Soap Production https://josder.pasca.unila.ac.id/index.php/josder/article/view/53
This study explores the innovative use of defective coffee beans as a base material for bar soap. Indonesia, one of the world's largest coffee producers, generates a substantial amount of defective coffee beans that are often underutilized. Defective coffee beans, which still contain bioactive compounds such as chlorogenic acid and caffeine, hold potential for use in cosmetic products like soap, which can offer skin health benefits. The soap-making process involves mixing ingredients such as coconut oil, palm oil, NaOH, and coffee powder in various concentrations, ranging from 0% to 20%. The results show that soap with defective coffee bean addition has potential for exfoliating effects, improving skin elasticity, and protecting against premature aging. The soap's characteristics reveal that the coffee bean concentration does not significantly affect the soap's pH, with values remaining within a safe range for the skin. Additionally, a coffee bean concentration of 15% yields the best results in terms of foam, aroma, and texture. Soap containing 20% defective coffee beans provides higher abrasiveness, making it suitable for a stronger exfoliating effect. In conclusion, utilizing defective coffee beans as a base material for bar soap not only contributes to the diversification of coffee-based products but also has the potential to enhance both economic and environmental value.
nurullia febriati, Fibra Nurainy, Sri Hidayati, Haidawati Haidawati Copyright (c) 2026 nurullia febriati, Fibra Nurainy, Sri Hidayati, Haidawati Haidawati https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://josder.pasca.unila.ac.id/index.php/josder/article/view/53 Thu, 16 Jul 2026 00:00:00 +0000
